Bread

Man cannot live by bread alone, but this one sure goes nice with dinner! I made the European bread recipe in the Encyclopedia of Country Living. It turned out beautifully. It has a chewy/crunchy crust and a soft dense inside. It'd be perfect with lentil stew. Yum. The sour dough starter has been declared a flop, so we're starting it again. Trying another method.

I have that same book and have never made a recipe from it. No idea why not,LOL. I'll have to have a better look through it tomorrow for some ideas.

I LOVE home made bread. My grandma used to always have sour dough starter and all sorts of things made from it when we would visit her house. This bread looks YUMMY! Hopefully you'll find another starter that works.
